The model

What the best schools promise. What only one-to-one can deliver.

Australia’s finest private schools sell three things: a rigorous curriculum, teachers who know your child, and values you trust. iProject gives your child all three, without the classroom of twenty-five.

01

A curriculum written for one child

Your child brings a question they care about. We write a full 10-week curriculum around it, weaving maths, English, science and Scripture together, to the standard of a published course. Then it is rewritten every week as your child grows.

02

A mentor who truly knows them

Live one-to-one sessions with Kale or a trained iProject educator he works alongside. Not a tutor working through a textbook, but an experienced educator who learns how your child thinks, stretches them where they are strong and supports them where they are not.

03

Your values, at the centre

A biblical worldview runs through every week, not a chapel slot on Fridays. You approve the project before it begins, receive a written summary after every session, and can request any recording.

The investment, in context

What a private education costs, and what it buys.

Families who want the best for their child usually weigh three options. Here is how a full iProject year compares.

iProject is a mentored program, not a full-time school day: one or two live sessions a week, with a guided project your child works on between them. Many families make it the centre of their home education. The full-year figure is four custom projects with a weekly 1:1 session at our published rates. ¹ Compare Private Schools, 2026 Year 12 tuition for Sydney independent schools, excluding extras. ² Tutors International job listing for a full-time homeschool tutor, May 2026.

Case study

Maya wrote a song. Now the world can hear it.

Maya’s iProject began with her own lyrics. She drafted and refined them with her mentor, then saw “Day In the Past” professionally produced and released in February 2023. That is what we mean by real work for a real audience.

Your child’s mentor

An educator who has led in Australia’s best schools. Now he mentors one child at a time.

Kale Kneale has spent more than 15 years in education, including as a housemaster at one of Australia’s top private schools and as a trainee principal at a Christian school. He holds a Master of International Education.

He saw what those schools do well, and what even the best of them cannot do: give each child a curriculum and a mentor of their own. iProject International is his answer. Today he mentors around 20 homeschooled students one to one every week, alongside a small team of trained iProject educators.

Kale and his family now live in North Carolina, and he continues to mentor Australian students every week, with sessions scheduled in Australian time.

Before education, he spent his twenties touring as a professional drummer. It is part of why he takes a child’s creative work seriously, and why Maya’s song got released.

Meet Kale: his story, and why he mentors children one to one.

“She’s got a love for learning again.”

Martene’s 13-year-old daughter is mentored one to one through iProject International. Her family has learned on the road, across Australia and overseas. Here’s what changed, in Martene’s own words.

Hello, my name is Martene, and I’m from the Gold Coast, Australia. I just want to share our experience since putting our 13-year-old daughter in iProject International. She’s absolutely thriving. It’s re-engaged her, and she’s got a love for learning again.

We’ve done distance education and homeschooling before, but this is different. How she’s showing up, her excitement, how Kale is able to open her up and bring out her ideas and keep her accountable has just been so refreshing.

Kale caters it to what they want to learn. You get a weekly report, so you know exactly where they’re at, how they’re going, and just seeing the independence and the ownership.

She rang me yesterday. I’m currently away for work, and she’s learning Italian and she is so excited about that. She’s doing programs on nutrition that go along with her gym, so she actually wants to do it, and Kale is phenomenal.

We spent three years traveling Australia during COVID. And what it does is enable us, regardless of where we are and what’s happening, she’s still able to keep on track. And it’s taken the pressure off us, knowing that we have someone supporting her needs, what excites her and what she wants to learn about. So we can step out of the teacher role, focus and put more energy into that quality time and magic moment with the kids.

This is the best program that we’ve seen, if you’re looking for something that’s not conventional mainstream school. And so I 100% recommend.

Edited for length from a longer recording. Martene’s family is part of our Australian iProject community.

A family’s story

His classroom changes every week.

Colt works alongside his dad from daylight, on a different job site each week. His iProject work fits in at lunch and in the evening. When we asked his mum, Ali, what had changed, this is what she wrote back.

Colt operating a mini excavator, clearing scrub on a job site
Colt doing his schoolwork on a laptop in a camp chair outside a farm shed
Colt shovelling gravel beside a skid steer

Everyday photos of Colt, shared by his family.

Ali’s email to Kale

“We weren’t happy with the content being taught to our son at his state high school. He was also very unenthusiastic about school, and his grades were average. I saw a friend’s post about travelling and schooling and was intrigued as to how they managed it. Her children looked very happy. She set up a three-way chat with Kale, and we went from there.

My son goes to work travelling with his father during the week, starting at daylight and finishing at 5-ish. He completes his schooling at lunch for an hour, and the rest in the evening for as long as needed.

Finding appropriate learning environments at the ever-changing job sites has been challenging. However, having adaptable clients who are willing to provide appropriate environments has helped.

My son has become more self-assured and confident in himself. He has much more respect and enthusiasm with regards to teachers and schooling.

[The Transformation Network] provides a fabulous scaffold to help support and encourage self-doubting parents. We definitely fell into this category, and cannot recommend iProject International highly enough. I wish I had been able to offer this opportunity to my older children, as they would have thrived.

We genuinely do feel incredibly lucky to have found you.”

Questions families ask

Before you enquire.

Is an iProject a full curriculum or a supplement?

It can be either. Each project integrates maths, English, science and Scripture, so it can sit at the centre of your child’s learning. Some families pair it with other curriculum. We will talk through how it fits your child’s whole week in your consultation.

How does this compare with enrolling in a private school?

A private school gives your child a full school day in a class. iProject gives your child one or two live 1:1 sessions a week, and a curriculum written for them to work through between sessions. Families choose it when they want the personal attention and values a great private school promises, with their child learning at home.

Who will mentor my child?

Kale designs and oversees every iProject. Weekly 1:1 sessions are led by Kale or a trained iProject educator who works alongside him, and we will talk through who suits your child in your consultation.

Kale lives in the US now. Is this still an Australian program?

Yes. iProject International began in Australia and is delivered by The Transformation Network, an Australian not-for-profit. Kale now lives in North Carolina and continues to mentor Australian students every week, with sessions scheduled in Australian time.

What ages is iProject for?

Students aged 8 to 17. Each project is pitched to your child’s level, and we look at readiness together in your consultation.

Will this help with home education registration?

Every project includes a digital and printable workbook, a portfolio of real work, a parent guide and a home education registration pack to support your state’s requirements. You remain your child’s home educator and responsible for registration and reporting. As an independent program, we do not issue school reports or ATAR results.

How do payments work?

Projects are priced weekly in AUD, and you can pay weekly, fortnightly, monthly or by term. We will confirm your plan and session rhythm together in your consultation.

Is my child safe in online sessions?

Every educator is background-checked, and every session is recorded and kept on file. Parents can access any recording on request.

Our statement of faith
Scripture
We believe in the doctrinal infallibility and historicity of the original manuscripts of the Old and New Testaments.
The Triune God
We hold to the God of Israel as the One true God, a Triune God in three persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Salvation
Salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith in Christ alone; new birth comes by repentance and faith in Jesus as the only provision for sin.
Atonement
Jesus died on the cross, making a full and satisfactory atonement for man’s sin.
Humanity & the Fall
Humanity and creation are fallen; no one can justify themselves before a perfect God.
Genesis & Origins
Genesis 1–11 records actual history; creation days were six consecutive 24-hour days; a global flood occurred in Noah’s day; we reject attempts to fit evolution or millions of years into Genesis.
Human Life & Dignity
Male and female reflect God’s image; life begins at conception; abortion and euthanasia violate the sanctity of life; there is one human race with equal dignity for all.
Marriage & Gender
Marriage is between one man and one woman; gender and biological sex are equivalent and cannot be separated.
Parents & Education
Parents are responsible to bring up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Israel & the Nations
Gentiles who place their faith in Jesus are grafted into God’s covenant people through faith, sharing in the blessings of God’s promises alongside believing Jews, as described in Romans 11. God’s covenant with Israel is irrevocable, and His redemptive purposes include Israel’s preservation, regathering, and future salvation.
Return of Christ
We hold to a pre-millennial return of Christ, when He will establish His millennial Kingdom on earth.
Unity & Separation
We seek Spirit-led unity with Bible-based evangelicals while rejecting ecumenism with groups holding a different gospel or authority.
Creation & Climate
God promises the continuance of seasons despite climate changes.
Justice & Cultural Theories
We reject modern forms of social justice, intersectionality, and critical race theory as anti-biblical and destructive to human flourishing.
